    I don’t think we should assume people leave for negative reasons. It’s just as likely that they have become too busy. And there are so many, many more who read these forums than who post anything.

    …..I’ve had numerous people contact me privately to either complain about this site or to say that they are leaving, and the usual reason is that they tire of the rudeness and personal attacks that some of the harpists (and even harp makers) engage in…..

    I agree that harpmakers marketing their products on this forum is a real turnoff.

    Sadly, what I’m talking about is beyond marketing or solicitation—it’s defensiveness and anger against harpists who don’t agree with their pt. of view, as recently went on in another recent thread involving the maker of Harpsicles.

    I know what you mean Maria, that was a disheartening thread, part of me wanted to get involved but I made the choice to stay out of it.
