Korg Chromatic Tuner

I have a Korg Chromatic Tuner at-2 and for some reason it keeps saying that every string is either an A sharp or a B–it refuses to read any other note.

I’ve checked the batteries and the calibration and they both seem fine. I’m wondering if it’s broken or if something just got out of wack? Any ideas?

If it is broken beyond repair any good ideas on where to get a new one online (I”m currently living in South Korea for a year so preferably a website with cheap international shipping).

The AT-2 is pretty old, so it may well just be broken, but have you checked to see if it has a manual setting? Many tuners have the option to set it to a specific pitch. I haven’t seen one like yours in so long I can’t remember if it does or not, but check to be sure that’s not it.

If you’re living in South Korea I would guess you have a smart phone. If it’s an iPhone or an Android phone you can get a tuner app for that so you don’t have to carry around a separate device. Cleartune is available on both platforms and probably the most popular.

My Korg tuner was doing the same thing, the readings were all over the place, so I bought The Snark (all instrument tuner), which clips nicely onto a tuning pin, or an opening in the soundbox.
