I’m playing a funeral this weekend and there has been a request for Irish Hymns.

We used “Be Thou My Vision” for my mom’s funeral and also had a lovely very simple setting of the prayer “May the Road Rise To Meet You” that I loved, but probably couldn’t fine in time. However, any setting of those words would definitely work.

Another beautiful hymn is, “Ag Criost An Siol” (The Seed is Christ’s) by Sean O’Riada. You can find a sample of it on YouTube.
