Identify my harp and help locating repair

I inherited my mother’s Lyon and Healy 45 string pedal harp and would like to find out when it was made. My grandfather bought it used in the early 1940’s. The writing on the neck says No. 759.

The harp neck cracked years ago and mom had it repaired, but it now has issues with one side of the back pulling away from sound holes and the front sound board coming up over the base. I would like to find someone to look at it, any recommendations in the Dallas Fort Worth area would be appreciated.

I believe David Williams can help you. Not sure if he still works on harps anymore, but he could tell you a lot about it. His number should be listed with the Dallas chapter o the American Harp Society.

Peter Wiley comes through Dallas, I believe. May be worth looking into when he is coming through – he should be able to give you a good idea of what repairs are needed / worth doing.

I would try to have it evaluated, if possible, before investing in repair, because it could be anywhere from $10,000 to perhaps $25,000 depending what is needed.
