I recently attended my first harp festival. It was 2 1/2 days. As a 53 year old beginner harpist, just starting 2nd grade pieces I was really nervous about attending and more so about hiring a harp to use in workshops. I had a fabulous experience. It was so much fun and as well as meeting and hearing some incredibly talented international harpists, I learned so much. I have made some new friends. So if you are a new harpist and have the chance to go to a similar event, take the plunge. It is well worth it. Can’t wait for the next one! Hope this helps anyone who is anxious about attending.

That was so much fun in spite of the terrible flooding that occurred just after I arrived. Harp festivals are always such a treat. Big thanks to Anna Dunwoodie for making all the arrangements again after having to postpone because of the pandemic.
