This noon, while flipping through the channels, I came upon a show called MadTV. It’s mostly parodies and I enjoy a lot of the silly stuff.

There was a bit on about some lounge singer who had been relegated to performing in the woman’s bathroom, and it didn’t get funny until the scene revealed a beautiful red-haired harpist accompanying the singer. I’m fairly sure the harpist was playing, and if she wasn’t she was really accurate at faking.

The harp was natural wood, not very large, pedal. The harpist had a lovely face and was doing a nice job of playing seriously in the bathroom set, short wavy red hair. Anyone recognize the description?

    Hi Sherry!

That was Lori Andrews, and yes she was really playing, live!

It seems to me that one of column members actually did do a gig in the loo.

It’s not uncommon for a harpist to stay on a gig after cocktails, setting up near the bathrooms while a band plays the reception.
