Wondering how harpists dependent on the harp for their primary income are faring. I have a friend who teaches piano, and she’s able to keep teaching using her tablet. I would suppose harp teachers are doing the same, but I wonder about performers.

I’ve seen many harpists performing on videos that they have posted online during this lockdown. In many cases, they have YouTube channels. If a channel gets up to 1,000 subscribers, then YouTube begins paying them, as I understand it. So, to support your harpist colleagues, subscribe to their YouTube channels. It may not be much, but it’s better than nothing.

I know a few music teachers (not just harp) that are using FaceTime, Zoom, WhatsApp, or Skype to teach now.

I doubt anyone is doing terribly well unless they had a busy studio to begin with.
