Do you have favorite harp pencils for marking your music?

I have been using Prismacolor Crimson Lake for all my red penciling,

and a good, soft black no. 2 for everything else. I have been using General’s Semi-Hex, but found a site to order from and got a set of English pencils called Helix, and believe it or not, Mongol no. 1s and 2s! I put pocket clips on them and clip them to the side of the desk of my music stand.

Saul, I use No. 1’s; they seem to be darker than No.2’s. They are very hard to find just now since Office Depot no longer allows a special order of just two dozen, but only a whole case! Does anyone know a better source?

Have you tried art supply stores?

I’m a firm believer that one can find anything on eBay:

Try pencilthings.com. You can get Mongol no. 1 there, and many other pencils. I like the Helix pencil for music, it is a bit darker and softer.
