Assuming this is part of a passage that has already been established as a glissando passage and the necessary pedal settings indicated at the beginning of it: Which of these two notations do you harpists prefer, or is there a better alternative?

I would like to see the second version, but with the last bar of the first. I would need to look twice at the same note in the two staves.

    Thanks Tacye and balfour-knight!

If the lefthand weren’t also playing that low G in the last bar, would it be a problem for many harpists to go down that low with the right thumb?

    Hi, William,

I just checked on my Camac Atlantide Prestige. It is no problem at all to glissando down to that low G with my right hand thumb. I could indeed go down as far as the C below that G, but that would be my practical limit.

    I hope this helps!

    Best wishes,
    Balfour

Thanks for checking. All my harp scoring books give different guidelines.
