The ensemble of the SWFLA Harp Chapter has included arrangements of symphonic masterworks in its programs for the past four years. The arranger, Ron Erickson, comes as close as practical to the original score, allowing for the general abilities of the mostly amateur players and for the harp idiom. His article on the subject would be of interest to all ensembles looking for substantial but accessible arrangements of well-known orchestra works. You can inquire at ronerick@earthlink.net.
