I spotted a simple bar count error in the genuine part to a well known piece, which I could correct, if I knew how to upload a corrected version to imslp. Any ideas or maybe I should let the original publisher know ?

    See:

If this does not work for you, the contact info for the copyright expert for IMSLP can be sent via private email.

Only a few publishers will take the time to correct a part. It depends on the composer, title and publisher. Send me the details for further advice.

Send an offline email for a contact to the IMSLP copyright expert.
Send the Composer, Title, Publisher for advice on asking the publisher to correct a part.

You should definitely inform the publisher.
