I have an 8th grader who I suspect is dyslexic…her mother is going

    to have her assessed.

If her mom has her assessed and gets help for her, the training is still going to take awhile before she learns how to process the data she sees into something she can read.

Often students who are dyslexic (have trouble decoding symbols) are great at memorizing and playing by ear.

Does anyone know about literature that I might go to for ideas and understanding of

dyslexia so that I can incorporate this in my teaching. Thanks.
