At Rehearsal point 18, 2nd measure; there is a 1rst octave G natural trill.(Edit, I meant “tremolo” and Elizabeth is right as they are 16th triplets here. The tremolo starts 9 measures from the end of the piece) Since there are also A flat, G flat, and F natural trills in the first oct, that perhaps I should tune the A down half a step?
I am looking at the part on the IMSLP site, and I don’t see a trill, but rather, repeated G naturals. You could either use alternating hands to play on the same string, or do the G one octave down every alternate note.
Sorry, after looking through this again it is 9 bars from the end of the piece where the “tremolo” starts (to me this is still a trill). It starts F natural, then E natural, back to F natural, then A flat, THEN G natural. I think the answer is to tune the 1rst octave A down half a pitch. That note is only used at this part of the piece.
