    Hi all!

I am soon going to dive into the harp part of Doctor Atomic, for a school production. It is scored for one harp, but the parts we received included a second copy of the Harp I part, with edits penciled in, so that the part is sometimes shared between the harps.

Is it common practice with this piece to have two harps? Is it impossible to do it alone?

If you know someone who’s played it please ask! The school has basically left it up to me to decide whether to hire another harpist to play second harp.

    Héloïse
