I am forming a harp ensemble, and wanted to know how other teachers

go about charging for this. (If at all).

    Hi, Lisa,

I believe you should charge. THere are expenses, i.e. preparing all the music, and directing the rehearsal.

As to the fee, I will charge as a group lesson tuition. And everyone share it!

I have a Celtic Harp Ensemble in New Orleans. I do not charge for it. I deduct the minimal expenses off my taxes or get donations from the public. We also have a CD, which we are planning to sell to the public to raise money. I consider it a motivation for my students to practice and a good performance opportunity for them.

    Lisa,

I am a college sophomore studying harp, and have recently joined a harp ensemble in my school’s area.

I would like to know where your harp ensemble is forming – I am looking for a harp ensemble in the NYC area.
