Hi There Everyone!

Its nearly here – the 3rd (can you believe it??) Derbyshire International Harp Festival – 30th and 31st of October 2009 – this year we have moved to a more prestigious venue (not the cold church and hall for us anymore!!) of Derby Grammer School in the heart of England.

Tutors this year include Kathleen Loughnane (ireland), Huw Cloggs (williams of the famous welsh band Crasdant), Proff David Watkins (no intro needed – he of Firedance fame and a great friend of Derbyshire Harp Festival) Viktor Hartobanu (Germany – amazing harpist, young etc!!) Helen Arnold (Harpist and ABRSM examiner) Gareth Green (also of the ABRSM doing Grade 5 theory preparation and musical awareness classes plus a singing together lunch time session to get everyone making music evening accompanying friends and partners!) and Elin Y Delyn, Helen Naylor and Dr Roberts from Northern Ireland.

I hope this tempts some of you to come along and join us – its a friendly non competitve festival with the focus on learning and fun!
