I will occasionally put a Santa cap on the crown, depending on the venue and the situation.

I just think that is tacky. The harp is a hand-made, beautiful instrument. It stands on it’s own as a piece of beauty. It reminds me of high school kids putting bows on their trumpets. Ick.

That’s a great thread! What a laugh.. I had to think for a while what a luau was…but when I realised some of those posts are hysterical!

And yes, tasteful and dignified it best…as everyones tastes and ideas vary so much…Actually I agree

I went to a harp tasting at The Harp Studio held by Meredith Kohn Bocek in Owego, New York. As a gift for attendees, she gave out beautiful bows in several different colors. Both my daughter and I brought one home and they decorate our music stands. While they aren’t on the harps, I think it adds just the right touch, and

I used black pipe cleaners wrapped around the string pins, then had the cord go behind my shoulder with an extension cord. The garland part was wrapped around the lights to become

Hi Cheryl,

I had a friend who manages a costume shop sew in some LED light kits from Walgreens into an applique (sp?) which oulined the words.

Hmmm….

I could see making a special vest with lights and an inner pocket in
the side for the battery pack. That way it wouldn’t have to be washed
often and could be worn with different outfits. (Like I need another
“project”!)
