I’ve been doing some composition with Finale, and after doing quite a bit with different instrumentation I’ve started to wonder how much I could do using an iPad instead.

If any of you are using the iPad as a composition device, could you give me an idea of what apps you’ve found that work best and how much you can do without having to go to a big program like Finale?

For me, the orchestration stuff with multiple voices (Garriton?) seems a little superfluous- as long as I can do something with four or five voices to get down my ideas, it isn’t that hard to blow that into a fully voiced score, so can the iPad do a four voice piece yet.

    Hope I’m making myself clear……
