    That’s a shame, Barbara. I hope one of the other two works for you, but I suspect that more and more these days, pedal harp strings are probably coming from the same few makers, just rebadged.

    I still miss the old Vanderbilt Golden Gut–haven’t found anything in all these years that I like as well.

    I would imagine you could sand off the finish if you really needed to. Pirastros are incredibly costly.

    Did you ever find a solution to the squeaky string problem?

    Sometimes our hands are a little too clean. Try running your fingers through your hair before playing to see if that stops the squeak. Camac strings are very good but awfully expensive.
