    Is there any way to slow down YouTube, because often I would like to check out another player’s fingering in fast tricky bits and I can’t if it’s too fast…!

    Not without downloading the video and using 3rd party video editing software.

    you don`t need a video editing software 🙂
    After you downloaded the video you can just slowing it down, for example in windows media player go in ” Enhancements” and then “Play speed settings”.
