I’m just curious if someone have the same problem as me. When I tune my wire strings they sometimes break, it’s the G and F in 5th octave and E in the 6th octave which is the problem. I never break my other strings while I am tuning. They are not tuned to high, so I can’t understrand why this is happend. Do someone else have this problem?

If only certain strings break on a regular basis then it is possible that the string is at to high a tension when brought up to pitch.

However, it is more likely that the problem is either where the string exits the sound board or enters the tuning pin.
