I’ve been recording my progress since I started learning in Jan this year, and I’m at the point where I want to improve the audio of my videos. I only want a simple mic (USB mic) that can be connected directly to my Samsung Note 9 phone used to record the videos. I currently use the Blue Yeti Nano in cardioid mode to record the L&H Ogden, but to me the sound is a little muffled and and I thought it could be better. I’ve watched a lot of YouTube reviews but most of them were focusing on podcast or voice-over. Does anyone know the best USB mic for instruments, particularly harp? My budget is around US$150.

Check out the Shure MV88. $149. Excellent sound quality. Also look at the MV88+ which has all the accessories for video recording. $100 more.

Thanks, Gretchen. I did look at the Shure MV88 before getting the Blue Yeti Nano but it doesn’t work on Android phones, does it?
