Baltimore Symphony Academy Seeking Adult Harpists!

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra invites adult harpists (both amateur and pre-professionals over age 21) to
apply for the 2012 BSO Academy. The BSO Academy is an week-long,
immersive training program for adult orchestral musicians.

The
2012 BSO Academy will convene in Baltimore, Maryland for seven days
(Saturday, June 23 to Saturday, June 30). Daily sessions of performance
and educational activities will be held at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony
Hall, the Baltimore School for the Arts, and the University of
Baltimore.

In addition to orchestra rehearsals, sectionals,
masterclasses and private lessons, there will be chamber music
rehearsals and enrichment classes led by BSO musicians, activities with
Maestra Alsop and lectures led by local experts. The week culminates
with a combined performance of participants and BSO musicians led by
Maestra Alsop on stage at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.

We
are excited to announce that Sarah Fuller has been named our 2012 harp
faculty member.
