Im semi teaching myself (i will resume lessons soon) Tournier’s Au Matin. I can play the piece at a decent tempo but i would like to gain some speed. How do you suggest improving speed. Im pretty sure it is my thumb that gets tired while moving in passages such as measures 13 through 22. Looking back on the tempo im very close to the given tempo but there are two problems. One i feel that the piece should go slightly faster. It’s my interpretation. And 2 i like to be able to play a piece faster than it actually will go. So any suggestions?
