I love my black powder coated music stands, but wear and tear gets to them, occasionally causing scratching or chips to the coating. I haven’t had much success in my online searches for how people retouch these kinds of music stands short of refinishing the entire surface. Does anyone have an experience or product to share about touching up the coating to these to prevent rust or further chipping?

Krylon(r) offers a wide variety of colors and finishes; probably the black “hammered” finish would be closest to what you want.
