I swear, I have the most oddball weddings, it seems. I did a wedding on Saturday. Catholic chapel, with a priest old enough to be MY father.

All the harp music and selections went flawlessly.

But–a first: the priest referred to the bride and groom as “Fox” and “Dude.” Not once, but repeatedly.

If you want to read funny harp wedding stories, complete with all the details, you should read The Lovely Wedding by Sylvia Clark.

That mass sounds a lot less boring than the usual Catholic wedding mass.

    That is very true……

I once played a wedding mass where the older (and sleepy) priest accidentally started the wrong mass!

    He started a FUNERAL mass!

He opened with “I am the Resurrection and the Life”….”ashes to ashes, dust to dust” before he realized he was on the wrong page!
