Someone just told me that Lyon & Healy has stopped putting action on the top two strings. Is this true? I am appalled by this.

I hope L&H have not stopped putting action on High F & G! I can do without it on G, but certainly not F.

    Hi, Saul and Balfour,

I just emailed Steve Fritzmann at L&H asking about this, and he says they have not changed their mechanism layout and have no plans to.

Gregg, so glad to hear this! Thanks so much for checking directly with the “source.”

Yes, good news, indeed. I was told by a colleague that they had done so on new 85s and such, so I am greatly relieved that it is a false rumor.

So far, I have only one piece requiring a G natural in 30 years of playing.
A single action on the low 7th D would be marvellous, but has never come to fruition.

I have never needed a 0G#, I just keep it tuned to 0G. It is a bit annoying to tune the rest of the harp in C flat, then put the G, C, & D pedals in Natural and tune the three strings on the harp which have NO discs. Otherwise, I do not miss the discs on those three strings, 7C, 7D, and 0G.

    Have a great day!
