The Topaz Duo (Angela Schwarzkopf, harp, and Kaili Maimets, flute) has released its debut album, lumena. All four compositions on their new album are by living North American composers. In addition to the title track, lumena by Riho Esko Maimets, the album features Sonata for flute and harp op. 56 by Lowell Liebermann, Sonata for flute and harp by Marjan Mozetich, and the Canadian duo’s new commission, Little Feng Huang by Kevin Lau.
