Lyon & Healy Harps has announced its annual Award Winners, following a competition at Carleton College in St. Olaf, Minn., preceding the American Harp Society’s 12th Summer Institute. Madeline Jarzembak (San Francisco, CA), Subin Lee (Seoul, South Korea) and Ching Wei Lin (Pittsburgh, PA) were chosen as the three Award Winners out of 15 participants. Each received $2,000, a $500 Lyon & Healy gift certificate and a plaque to commemorate their Award.

The jury, comprised of Jaymee Haefner, Assistant Professor of Harp at University of North Texas College of Music; Gretchen Van Hoesen, Principal Harpist of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and Ina Zdorovetchi, Coordinator of Harp at the Boston Conservatory also recognized Hannah Cope (Provo, UT) with an Honorable Mention.

“As the repertoire level was set quite high, we saw a remarkable sense of musicianship from all the participants,” states Heather Azem, Lyon & Healy Awards Manager. “It was a privilege to hear each of them perform and we look forward to seeing what their futures hold for them.”
