Subin Lee released her debut solo album, Harp Classics, on June 11 on the Nova Collective label. Lee describes the album as “a collection of beloved concert repertoire written for the harp [which] brings forth the harp as a powerful and dynamic solo instrument. With repertoire that ranges from the delicate filigree of Parish-Alvars to the virtuosity of Paganini/Mchedelov, emotional depth of Renié, and merging of worlds of sound and culture of Isang Yun, the album is unique in a way that showcases the diverse range and spectrum of colors that can be created through the harp.”
Lee performs in both South Korea and the United States, having appeared in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Seoul Arts Center, and Kumho Art Center. Recognized for her creative art and positive impact, she was named to the Forbes Korea “30 Under 30” list in 2025. An award-winning harpist, she has won first prize at the International Harp Contest in Italy “Suoni d’Arpa” and the Lyon & Healy Awards. She is also a laureate of the Hong Kong International Harp Competition, Korea International Harp Competition, Szeged International Harp Competition, Germany International Harp Competition, and more.
Lee is currently studying with Jessica Zhou at New England Conservatory, after receiving her Master of Music degree at the Yale School of Music. She received her bachelor’s degree at the Curtis Institute of Music as recipient of the Marilyn Costello Fellowship.
