Edinburgh festival announces 2022 schedule

The Edinburgh International Harp Festival has announced its schedule of performers and workshops. The festival will be held April 7–11 as a hybrid event. In-person events will take place at George Watson’s College in Edinburgh, while other events will be held online or both live and online.

The festival features performances, workshops, and courses. Performers at the 2022 festival include Tristan Le Govic, Fraya Thomsen, Wendy Stewart, Siobhàn Armstrong, Màiri and Calum Macleod, Maeve Gilchrist, and others. Workshop topics include Irish song and sean-nós, Irish music, and Scottish repertoire. Courses for all levels from adult beginners to advanced harpers will include a variety of topics, including Breton music, Scottish ornamentation, early music, jazz standards, and 18th-century slow dance tunes.
