2015 Lyon & Healy Awards Announced


Lyon & Healy President Antonio Forero issued an invitation to harpists to participate in the 2015 Lyon & Healy Awards, to be held June 19 and 20 prior to the American Harp Society Student Institute at Utah State University in Logan, UT. The award competition is held every other year in the U.S.; other competitions have taken place in Shanghai (2014), Cardiff (2013), and China (2010).

The competition is open to harpists under the age of 35. Three winning harpists will receive $2,000 to be used for harp study, along with a $500 gift certificate to Lyon & Healy. The 2015 required repertoire includes Sonate for Harp, by Hindemith, and Fantasie on a Theme by Haydn, by Grandjany.
