Trio Haydée has released its debut album as an ensemble. The French group consists of Marielou Jacquard (voice), Anastasie Lefebvre de Rieux (flute), and Constance Luzzati (harp). The album, titled Ciels d’or (Golden Skies), was released on Feb. 7 on the UK label Voces8 Records. Ciels d’or is available on all platforms and in CD format.

The new recording features music on the theme of light, written by female composers from the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. These include well-known pieces by Pauline Viardot and Édith Canat de Chizy, lesser-known ones by Louise-Zoé Gouirand-Gentil, Clémence de Grandval, and Rosy Wertheim, never-before-recorded works by Édith Lejet and Elisenda Fabregas, a commission from composer Josephine Stephenson and author-illustrator Diglee, and other works.

Luzzati has previously released two solo harp albums of her own Baroque transcriptions, Enharmonique (2023) and Jupiter (2024). Luzzati says of her work with Trio Haydée, “This original album… is [only] the first opus from [our trio, which is] a rare kind of ensemble (voice, flute, and harp). We are committed to promoting the lesser-known repertoire composed for this ensemble, as well as commissioning new pieces.”
