Canadian harpist-composer Caroline Lizotte releases her debut album, Lizotte plays Lizotte, today. Both digital and physical versions are available from RougébLeuë Productions. The album features some of her best-known works for harp, as well as two world premiere recordings. Lizotte plays Lizotte spans more than 30 years of the composer’s output, from her first work for harp, Odyssée, to her most recent, Stellar Sonata for electroacoustic harp. In a press release, Lizotte says that her goal was to place the listener in the center of the action, which extends beyond the harp to special effects, percussion instruments, electronics, and vocals.
