Andrea Stern has arranged Rentaro Taki’s “Moon Over the Ruined Castle” for solo lever or pedal harp. “The magic of a Japanese landscape comes to life in this arrangement,” says Stern. Tremelo, rubato, use of fingernails and other techniques conjure the sound of the koto, a Japanese plucked zither instrument.
