Cynthia is a gem of a person and such an accomplished artist. I was fascinated talking with her and look forward to meeting her some day.

I had my nails out and promptly broke two of them making Carrot Soup!

    Kathleen,

My first one has just arrived. In unfinished form at my request. A Chery Druid by Dreamsinger. Her name is Clarsita

The Druid has arrived and it is lovely even in it’s unfinished state. Now I go to work with my carving before I finish it and string it. Muis is a fine person and a pleasure to do business with.

    Journey

I vowed to make it my own
    I wanted this heavenly sound
    Thus here I sit learning,
    thumb up, fingers down.

    Too much to do,
    too much to know.
    Change from nylon to wire
    Now willing nails to grow.

    The wonder that occurs,
    with the measure you play.
    You have heard it before,
and you are doing it today!

    You have a warm feeling,

    Genevieve,

Fortunately you can watch your baggage placed on the bus, so you can see your harp placed. I would explain to the driver, they are usually quite personable and will advise you for the best placement.

I also would caution you if you are not used to US long distance buses, they are not the same environment as you find in other lands. Do be careful, especially in the stations.

    Kathleen,

I am in love with this one phrase, “All I can add is to cherish the journey one note at a time.”.

Sending a CD is fine…. But make it teasers, break a piece off at the middle of an interesting art and leave it there. Send a rate sheet and set your rates to reflect the value of your art. If you are to sell your art, then sell it at a fair price.

Giveaways DO NOT WORK, snd Discounts is what you do with CHEAP product.

My daughter struggled with her portrait art for years until I told her, stop giving it away; raise your prices, stop lowering them; and go in with a fixed price that is not open to negotiation.

    Thank you Andy.

Kim you have my permission, but I hardly think it worthy.

    Gayle,

Wow! You can play songs all the way through after only two years and learning to read music at the same time!!

I believe I am narrowing in on a Druidd by Dreamsinger. I have talked with the Luthier, Muis, and I am impressed by him. He has the passion for wire that I look for and I like the sound of the Druid.

The current alternative is the Ardival Kilcoy. It has the plus of being sized to the overhead bin on an aircraft, but that means 19 strings. The Druidd at 22 is slightly larger and not quite as traditional in construction, but Muis is a small builder who strives for a sound and Ardival may be the wee bit more production oriented.

I am talking with Cynthia about the two as well….

    Decisions, decisions….

I am so glad to hear of your happiness. Congratulations!! That is what it is all about, playing what you enjoy and enjoying what you play.
