It sounds good, but not so good for a Catholic wedding. I have some friends who used this as (I think for an exit) for a protestant wedding. Less formal, and it worked fine there.
emiliaParticipantI am taking a course with Coursera on music production and trying to figure this out as well. The class is helpful (and free, if you don’t care about a certificate) since I have no background at all in this. The materials are presented in short videos, and there are forums for asking questions.
This is my solution: I got a guitar pickup for the harp, and am looking at the Scarlett Solo Audio Interface. It connects to the computer with a USB cable. I have downloaded Pro Tools first, a free version of Pro Tools. I think this is what I will go with for recording the harp. I can’t tell you how well it works, since I haven’t actually gotten the equipment yet.March 1, 2016 at 6:28 pm in reply to: Musescore vs. Finale PrintMusic vs. Sibelius First, and Scanning Abilities #193874emiliaParticipantI am using Crescendo Music Notation Editor, which is free. I previously used Finale’s free version, but I like that Crescendo is much more customizable- like spacing of notes. You can even change back and forth from 2/4 to 4/4 time signatures (I was typing out a piece written for choir for the harp, and it does that back and forth), or change keys mid-piece.
emiliaParticipantI have a pink Harpsicle that I named Pinkabel, sort of a mash-up of pink and Tinkerbelle and Pachelbel.
