Catherine Rogers is absolutely right, bad regulation does not cause a string to be false, it only gives the wrong interval when pedals are changed. A false string is usually deformed wich causes bad overtones (not matching ones). It is very hard to identify by ear.

My only concern about blind players is that harps make our fingers skin thick and it might affect on the feeling, loosing a bit of the tact they need to read brile. Anyone has any insite about that?

Paraguayan harp is totaly different. The G strings are black. All strings are very close to each other and you play with fingernails. The realy bad thing about this harp is that there is no pedals or levers. So you are stuck with only one key. I?ve seen some paraguayan harps with levers addaped, but originaly the instrument does not carry any levers.

Vanderbilt has The Complete Renie Method (the two volumes combined in one translated to English) and it costs only $55.25

It is a great Method, I think all harpist should have it

I have to desagree with you Kim about the flexible character of the Debussy’s Danses. As an impressionist all of its dinamics and rhythms are strickly written as they should sound. I am saying it because there is this common mistake musicians commit on playing Debussy as if he was a romantic composer.
