I love Passacaglia, too, even though I’ve struggled with it for many months. I expect to spend much more time learning La Source, though.

Philippa – Good luck with the garden concert. At first I didn’t realise you live in Australia, so I was like: She’s going to play her harp outside in December?!
But of course, it’s summer where you live.
Here in Norway, we’ve already had the first snowfall.

    Hi, Jerusha:

I’ve seen Brook’s composition, it’s absolutely beautiful…It’s called “Upon the Willows”. If you’re going to the Southeast Harp Weekend next week, ask him to play it for you (and with him a Happy Birthday!).

I have decided this is the year I learn Rohrbacher’s “Gesu Bambino” on lever harp and I’ve just about got it whipped!

I like Aquatintes. They have a lot of rolled chords on both hands, which are fun to play and nice to listen to. There are a couple places that puzzle my ear a bit, but I also enjoy the slightly unexpected directions they sometimes go musically.

Hello ChingChuan– Good for you that you are working on Grossi exercises and etudes as well!

Jerusha —Actually I’m experimenting with the left hand only being one single note at a time.

I already own La Gimblette, so I’ll probably work on it in the near future.

Well, it depends on which music stand you look at. At the piano I have several movie scores, and at my harp I have christmas and church music (starting to prepare for the holidays). As for my third stand (for flute–main instrument) I have too much music. Scales, etudes, and everything from Bach and Mozart to Ibert and Jolivet. I have some big auditions coming up for my Master’s degree programs
