ParticipantHope no Korrigan owners are angry with me. Some forum members dislike them but some are happy with their Korrigans. I heard one on youtube and wasn’t enamored of the tone (it sounded too much like my guitar) but hopefully it is just bad recording equipment.I have yet to hear one in person.I have only tried Salvi levers before.
But I don’t think Camac made them for pro use like the Aziliz (which is also more expensive). They’re meant for students hoping to move on to pedal harp one day.

ParticipantI just wanted to put a “plug” in for the Ravenna 26…I just bought one yesterday…have been playing it for hours now, and cannot believe the wonderful big sound that comes out of this small harp! it’s great!!..I already have a bigger Dusty and wanted a smaller, lighter harp to cart around for lessons and my harp ring, and was considering (forever) all the other brands, and played a few of them while I was at this music store (“Folk Mote” in Santa Barbara, ca, (got a great deal!)..but the Ravenna was by far the winner, and I love the drop-down leg…works really well and I got it fully levered…..anyway, not sure if this helps, but thought I’d contribute….

ParticipantHi Jerusha,
I currently have a Dusty FH36S in Walnut…which also has a very beautiful tone…(very mellow)..it’s 3 years old now and really has its voice…I can’t say enough about the great workmanship and sound of the Dustys….so, I better sign off…

ParticipantWell, I’m a very lucky woman … my husband doesn’t think that three harps is too many.

ParticipantHey, Val, You must have been there not many days before we were! I
tried seven different harps to see what would fit best. The Dusty FH32
was the best sounding of the ones that ‘fit’, but it still wasn’t real
comfortable and was just barely within my reach (arm length wise). I
didn’t make any decisons right then, because I was heading to Somerset,
but I wanted to try as many as I could. They were great and, like all
the vendors at the festival, let us video tape the whole thing so that
I could compare later at home.I will also be posting a picture in the not too distant future, but I
ended up getting a Triplett Sierra in walnut with walnut veneer on the
soundboard, Camac levers, case and wheels. I’m in love! A 34 string
that is less of a reach than the FH32 because the top of the box is
tapered more. Yay!Leigh

ParticipantWaaaa, I just broke my first string on my new harp! It was the first
time I’ve replaced a wire string. It went pretty well, but I did leave
a tiny circular scratch on the neck from the end of the string. I
thought I had it out of the way, but it swung back and scratched before
I could catch it. It is on now and I managed to tune the rest without
mishap. Whew!Leigh
