    those are good too

the whole thing is ok for levers with some minor editing

he has petite suite classique and a couple movements from that are also ok for lever harp

the rest you can do on lever harp I’ve seen it done but it is very tricky for the lever changes

I gave Grandjany’s Reverie so I am anxious to learn that too now, there’s not as many chords but it is also different from what I’ve been playing so there is a learning curve.

This is also related to Bernard Andres so I thought it’s a good idea to post in this topic… I’m wondering: is it possible to play Algues on a lever harp?

The algues are totally playable on lever harp (with levers).

Thanks for the information! So there are no lever changes within the pieces themselves?

no lever changes in any of the Andres pieces I’ve played.

Since we’re talking about pedal harp music for levers, The book this is in by Hasselman says it’s only for Pedal harp but it really looks to me like she’s playing it on a Korrigan in this youtube video.

Hi, Deb. That’s a pedal harp (Camac I think) and Rouet, in my opinion, is pretty hard for levers for what it is. It’s a very easy piece if you have pedals, but there are a lot of fast lever changes in it.

You might want to check out Sea Anemones by Patricia John, which has the same sort of descending three note arpeggio pattern but is more suited to the lever harp.

Isabelle Perrin is going to be doing a master class on Bernard Andrès at the World Harp Congress. We’re all looking forward to it!

Elizabeth, please tell us all about it!

I was wondering if a 40 string pedal harp would be enough strings to get through the easier Andres, Grandjany , Hasselmans pedal harp pieces?

Is anyone aware of a recording of Amarantes by Bernard Andres? I couldn’t find it on youtube… Our local music store doesn’t have it in store and I’d like to either see the sheet music or hear the music before
