Harpists are remembering Ángel Padilla, who died suddenly on Friday, July 21, 2017. Born in Mexico City, Padilla studied at Indiana University and the Royal College of Music, in London, and was beloved by harpists around the world. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the World Harp Congress and was a featured performer at the 2014 Lyon & Healy 150th Birthday Festival. “He was a genuine, lovely person, and so funny at just the right times,” said Lyon & Healy’s Keri Armendariz on Facebook. “Our thoughts are with his loved ones.”
