Concours Français de la Harpe announces 2024 winners

The 13th edition of the Concours Français de la Harpe took place Feb. 23–25, 2024, in Limoges, France. The international competition included 12 repertoire divisions. This year, Evelien Vaneysendeyk (Belgium) and Maria Bubnova (Russia) tied as the winners of the top division, Excellence. Vaneysendeyk and Bubnova are both students of Isabelle Perrin at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. They will share a recital at the Festival International Harpe en Avesnois, a recital at the Instrumentarium in Paris, and an opening recital at the next Concours Français de la Harpe, as well as a credit at Camac of €1000.

Jury members for this year’s contest included Annie Challan, Annie Lavoisier, Sophie Clavel, and competition co-organizers Véronique Chenuet and Marie-Monique Popesco. Prize sponsors included the Association international des harpistes et des amis de la harpe, Camac, the Instrumentarium (Lyon & Healy and Salvi), and The Harp Store (Budin).
