The “Opera Zero” Cultural Association of Bari (Italy) will organize the 1st International Harp and Harp Composition Competition “Ángel Padilla Crespo” this spring. The online competition is open to musicians of all nationalities and is divided into four solo categories based on age and type of harp, plus three additional categories: chamber music with harp, harp ensembles of two to four members, and compositions (for harp, harp ensemble, or harp and piano). The repertoire for most categories is a free-choice program within a given time limit.
Applications must be sent by April 27 via email to concorsopadillacrespo@operazero.it. Applicants must include a link to an unlisted YouTube video, which will serve as the competition performance. Results will be announced by May 20.
