The American Harp Society (AHS) will hold its next Summer Institute in June 2025 in the metropolitan area of Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas. The upcoming AHS Summer Institute will take place alongside two other events: the 26th AHS National Competition and the inaugural AHS Harp Ensemble Festival.

The AHS states on its website that the new Harp Ensemble Festival is intended “to encourage musical collaboration, the building of community through harp ensembles, and to inspire harpists of all ages and levels to advance their ensemble performance skills.” The AHS Ensemble Festival consists of six divisions that offer opportunities for ensemble players of all ages and for groups of all sizes. Repertoire is free choice, and ensembles will receive written comments on their performances.

The AHS Summer Institute focuses on student harpists and offers workshops, masterclasses, and concerts. Texas-based harpists Laura Logan Brandenburg and Kela Walton will serve as co-chairs of the 2025 Summer Institute. The Summer Institute and Ensemble Festival will close with an ensemble concert and awards ceremony.

Visit the AHS website for more information about the Summer Institute, Ensemble Festival, and National Competition.
