The World Harp Congress (WHC) and American Harp Society (AHS) have announced plans for a joint conference to be held in July 2026 in Toronto, Canada. The WHC and AHS will be working together to combine programming for the entire event.
Representatives from the AHS say the organization is “thrilled [to be] working closely with the World Harp Congress.”
Kathy Kienzle, chair of the WHC Board of Directors, says she looks forward to the WHC’s first Congress in the western hemisphere since 2011 in Vancouver. “Toronto is a very exciting, cosmopolitan city with a very active harp community. Canada has many really wonderful harpists, as well as many composers who have written especially for the harp,” Kienzle says. “I know this will be a very special event, not to be missed!”
More details and updates will be available soon on the WHC website and AHS website.
