The Hong Kong International Harp Competition has announced required repertoire and other application details for its eighth edition, set to take place Oct. 4–8 in Hong Kong. Applicants may register between July 1 and July 30.
The competition consists of 12 divisions by age and type of harp (lever or pedal). Three of the divisions are for duets with harp and any other instrument or voice.
According to its website, the Hong Kong International Harp Competition aims to encourage harpists to strive for high levels of artistic achievement. Through providing contestants a platform to showcase their talents, the competition says it works to promote artistic excellency by fostering creative and cultural exchange.
