I have a student who plays piano, and takes to the harp very

Mildred Dilling’s 30 Little Classics (I think that’s the title), anything by Barbara Brundage (she may not be able to play all the pieces), anything by Kim Robertson (she has some lovely & interesting arrangements-again, some are more difficult than others).

I too have found myself bored to tears with the overly simple melodies in many of the beginner books. Sharon’s book offers great key chnage guides, wonderful fingering illustrations and complex sounding melodies that are easier to play. My problem has mainly been that I get bored by simple straight forward melodies. Its surprising how much “childrens songs” are in the beginner
