Sorry if there is a thread about this already… can’t seem to find one.

I’ll be moving to Dublin in a few months time and would like to continue taking lessons. Does anyone know of any good teachers there?

    Thanks in advance.

I’m Dublin based and there are a couple of Dublin harp teachers – send me a PM or your email address and I’ll give you more details.

Get in touch with Cairde na Cruite (Friends of the Harp) who will be able to guide you, and would also be good to connect with generally. Their website link is below, and the contact details are right at the bottom of the page in teensy little letters.

I’m based on the south coast of Ireland. What sort of music do you play? Nice to know there’s a new harper coming to Erin’s fair shores :-)

    Dear Docia M,
I will be happy to assist you with harp lessons in Dublin if your interest is in Irish harp (traditional).

This thread should be one of the post that is tagged as important. This thread would greatly help people who are looking for harp lessons in Dublin. I always recommend the traditional way of learning harp, but if one is having a hard time looking for a harp teacher, the internet is full of tutorials and tips. But again, the actual teacher is still the best way to learn how to play the harp.

Hello, Im looking for Harp lessons, traditional, im a complete beginner and dont have a harp!
I live in Dublin 18 so very near Stillorgan. Anyone? How do I get PM?

    Hi Maire!
I am a fully qualified and experienced harp teacher and have places for students available at the moment. I do teach mainly the classical harp but this can be a very good basis to start playing traditional as well.
I am in Leopardstown which might be convenient to you?
If you are not interested in learning classical harp but want to focus on traditional I’d suggest you get in touch with Cairde Na Cruite. http://www.cairdenacruite.com They also hire out harps!
    Hope this helps!
