    Carl, can I put lighter tension strings-like lever harp gut-on a new L&H 23?

Kathy- That’s an intriguing question. The answer is: I don’t know what it will sound like. It certainly won’t hurt the instrument. Give it a shot and let us know what you find. If you don’t like the results you can just change back to standard gauge. My guess is that the instrument will sound better.
